All
It took awhile, but I finally got around to riding the route that many cycling enthusiasts living in the Bay Area aspire to accomplish - the Three Bridges Loop ride - 50 miles(!).
I began the journey in the morning from my home in North Berkeley, met up with other riders from Slow Spokes (a group that rides on Tuesday’s from the Berkeley Marina), rode with them across the Oakland section of the Bay Bridge to the island of Yerba Buena and then splintered off with four undaunted members of the group - Tom, Dave, Joan, and David - continued down to Treasure Island, boarded the ferry to San Francisco’s Ferry Building, crossed the Golden Gate Bridge to Sausalito, and then over the Richmond-San Rafael Bridge back to Berkeley.
Feels wonderful to finally check that item off of my life’s to-do list!
