After the recent outstanding divisional win by the Bears at the 2023 National Collegiate Club Team Championships in Philadelphia, past generations of Cal alums took notice and have galvanized to offer heartfelt congratulations to the team and coaches.
Lest we forget, the performance by this squad should also be credited to the ongoing contributions by key individuals over the past decades that had kept the flame alive.
Here are a few remarks:
Gents -
This is quite an achievement for Cal squash. It could not have happened without all the hard work you guys and Dick Crawford put in to get the program rolling way back in the day.
Congratulations!

And Dave, if I remember correctly, you were the person specifically who planted the seed in Dick's head in around 1975 of taking a team back East!
You guys might enjoy this blurb I wrote about Dick not too long ago. We know of course that Dick liked to embellish his stories, so who knows, but I quoted him as best I could.
