It's what in between your ears that counts

All,

I dare say that what matters in golf matters in squash as well.

I might also add….

“If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster and treat those two imposters just the same,” - Rudyard Kipling

This was the sentiment that surreptitiously entered my mind right before playing match point against rival Derrick Niederman at the 1991 nationals finals held at Yale. Not in so many words, but that notion inspired a sense of calm and purpose that allowed me to play through.  And, oh, did I enjoy the moment immediately after!

Golf influencer Paige Spiranac has revealed why she never made it as a professional despite a huge profile within the sport.

The stunning Spiranac played on the Cactus Tour in 2016, and that year competed in her first LPGA Qualifying tournament. However, she never made it onto the full-time circuit.

She's since become famed for delivering golf tips to her huge social media following, usually whilst wearing eye-catching outfits. And on her YouTube channel, in a tutorial titled Tips to Improve During the Winter with Shot Scope, she explained her past failings to her 312,000 subscribers.

"Golf is 99% mental," she said, in a low cut pink top that left little to the imagination. "I know this well because I struggled with this so much when I was playing professionally.

"It was ultimately the reason I stopped playing because I didn't have it up there (pointing at her head). Between the ears it was like whoosh. It did not work for me and I just didn't have it."
