Playing squash with the Pro

One of the many pleasures I had when I was the Teaching Pro at the University Club was playing with ALL of the playing members regardless of their standing.

Impossible you say!

Well, I managed to do this by coming up with competitive schemes while we were playing together. I had a feel for the membership. 

It was my manner of bonding with each and every one of them. 

One was hitting above the service line. This game entailed me to hit every one of my shots ABOVE service line - even the drop shots!

Another was "John Lau's 5 Doubles match" which always went into extra points in the 5th game - guaranteed (!)

And I gained much satisfaction by never losing a match regardless of with whom I played with.
