Thirty years ago - a time when I was competing in the gallery court at the Harvard Club in New York City. The occasion was during the playing of the prestigious Cowles, Jacobs, Barnaby Invitational against the legendary Harvard great, Anil Nayar.
It was an exceptional event which turned into a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity competing against one of the game's all-time greats. Memorable. Life changing. Unforgettable. What an experience!

"As one of many who was frequently humbled by Anil on the court, I knew little of his early years and lost track of him when he returned to India after his years in America. I was intrigued to read the vivid descriptions of his family life growing up in a changing India, then returning to the vicissitudes of family and business travails in his native country. His wife Jean has written a remarkable account of the personality and inner drive of her husband who many of us knew only as a champion, both on and off the court."
