University Club's 125th Anniversary and my 30th

We started out as an innocent fling, you and I, then we became a hot item, which turned into a 30 year committed relationship.  

We grew up together.  And as with all relationships, It was the best of times.  It was the worst of times. 

The highs for you were hosting 3 Lapham-Grants, Pro Tournaments, and being the center of squash activity in San Francisco.   For me, it was winning 3 National Championships and making countless friends. We were sitting on top of the squash world. The lows were you almost becoming a hotel and for me dealing with the emperor of all maladies.  Both near-death experiences.  But for both of us, quitting was not an option.

And the living proof is this……….we’re here standing before you celebrating your 125th and me celebrating my 30th.

We were a match made for one another.
